Carrie Brinton
Co-Founder and President of Elase Academy

Carrie’s background in both esthetics and business management has helped shaped the Elase Academy curriculum. As a business owner, and employer of 20+ Master Estheticians, Carrie and her partners believed that there was a need in the industry for students that were graduating with a more well-rounded education. Carrie believes that Elase Academy students need to be trained in more than just how to do excellent skin treatments; Academy students should also be experts in all of the pieces that make a successful esthetician, including business operations, sales and customer service. Carrie’s background includes work with Booze Allen Hamilton Consulting as a Business Analyst, Dean Witter Morgan Stanley as a Leadership Development Instructor, Brigham Young University and as a Adjunct Professor in the Marriott School of Management, and as the President of Elase Medical Spas.

Matthew Brinton, Esq.
Co-Founder and Corporate Council of Elase Academy

Matt has been recognized as one of Utah’s Legal Elite and has worked in corporate law for 7+ years. Matt’s background has been the basis for the growth of Elase Academy over the last 2 years. Matt has worked for several large firms in Salt Lake City, UT and Washington D.C.  Matt now provides both management and legal services for Elase Academy.

Christina McGarvey
Director of Operations

Christina McGarvey brings a wealth of management and operations experience to Elase Academy. Her background involves positions as a personal assistant to influential business moguls, business manager for several start-up companies, and co-founder of her own on-line business. Christina has also worked as a design assistant to Professor Darrin Brooks in NYC. Christina has an amazing ability to work with people. Her delightful personality and incredible talent makes Elase Academy run smoothly and efficiently.

Debbie Joy
Director of Spa Operations

Debbie Joy’s background includes management experience in a range of companies, including Mary Kay Cosmetics and Elase Medical Spas. Debbie was a Senior Executive Sales Director for Mary Kay of Utah, prior to joining Elase Academy. Debbie has a talent for teaching our students the art of retail sales and professionalism. Having Debbie as the Spa Director for Elase Academy means that our students are taught the critical skills necessary to become successful in the esthetics field.

Kim Winebrenner
Assistant Director

As Assistant Director, Kim Winebrenner works closely with Elase Academy, Medical Directors, and Plastic Surgeons to create, manage and oversee the Advanced Laser Certification Course and the Professional Injections Courses at Elase Academy.

Rachel Johnstone
Front Desk Manager

As Front Desk Manager, Rachel Johnstone does an incredible job handling the day to day operations of The SPA @ Elase Academy, including managing the busy schedule of all in-house spa parties.

Katie Olson
Marketing Director

As a very talented graphic and interior designer, Katie Olson is responsible for creating all of the beautiful advertising and design work for Elase Academy. Katie also manages and coordinates the busy schedules of charities, events, and expos that Elase Academy is extensively involved with.

Jennett McKeller, LME
Lead Instructor

Jennett McKellar, with over 8 years of experience, has worked closely for many years with Elase Medical Spas and Elase Academy as a Medical Master Esthethican and Lead Instructor specializing in advanced laser treatments and permanent cosmetics.  As a very talented and experienced Esthetician, Jennett manages the curriculum at Elase Academy, ensuring that students consistently receive a quality education. Students always love her and her teaching style.

Maryanne Pickett, LME
Advanced Instructor

Maryanne Pickett, with over 4 years of experience, teaches the Intermediate and the Advanced Chemical Peel classes at Elase Academy. As a very talented Makeup Artist and Master Esthetician, Elase Academy benefits from her many skills and students love her as an instructor. Maryanne does a great job managing the makeup classes and photo-shoots as well.

Britni Leach, LME
Laser/Advanced Instructor

Britni Leach, with over 7 years of experience, brings esthetics and laser knowledge to a new level at Elase Academy and manages teaching the advanced night program. Students love learning from Britni and enjoy her great personality.

Katrina Taylor, LME
Orientation Instructor

Katrina Taylor, with over 6 years of experience, manages the Orientation program for both day and night schedules and proves to be one of the most talented and well-liked instructors of all time. Katrina does a great job helping new students feel welcome, comfortable, and ready to learn at Elase Academy.

Cristin Searle, LME
Orientation Instructor

Cristin Searle, with over 10 years of experience in management, sales and business, co-teaches the Orientation program for both day and night courses. Cristin’s great personality and advanced esthetic skills make her a favorite among students and staff. Her extensive skill set provides a great resource and wealth of knowledge for new students.

Kathy Davis-Rees, LME
Intermediate Instructor

Kathy Davis-Rees, with over 8 years of experience, teaches the Intermediate day and night programs and makes learning easy with great techniques and tips because of her extensive knowledge in this industry. Students have only great things to say about Kathy and her teaching style. Kathy also created and teaches our Eyelash Extension course.

Megan Anderson, LME
Front Desk Coordinator

Megan Anderson works closely teaching Student Counsel members the ropes at the Front Desk, and has a wonderful personality that all spa clients and student adore. With her background as a Master Esthetician, she is easily able to recommend treatments to clients and help find solutions to their beauty needs.

Mishelle Thomas, LME
Front Desk Coordinator

As a top graduate of Elase Academy, Mishelle Thomas knows the in’s and out’s and does a great job working with Student Counsel at the Front Desk. Mishelle’s knowledge of esthetic and laser procedures provides a great resource for spa clients and students to learn from.

Amy England graduated with honors from Elase Academy, and as a past leader of our Student Counsel, she has extensive experience which helps improve every aspect of our programs. Amy organizes many areas, keeping things running smoothly at the front desk, admissions, and student events.
